Best Christmas Lights in West Michigan
Updated for 2024~We love going around and seeing how everyone decorates their home during this time of year! Check out our compilation of some of our favorite Christmas light shows! If you have a favorite spot make sure to share it with us!
LMCU Ballpark-One of the most popular locations to see a big light show-LMCU Ballpark never fails to disappoint. The almost 2 mile long drive-through light display is a West Michigan staple. There are several ways to enjoy the displays! There is a walkthrough version, Memory Train, and even a chance to meet Santa! Make sure you plan out enough time though! Lines can be pretty long some days! It is open until January 4 and hours are Sunday-Thursday 5:30-9:30 pm, Friday and Saturday 5:30 pm-10 pm. They are even open on holidays, so you can go enjoy them on Christmas Day! Tickets are $30/vehicle with proceeds donated to the Grand Rapids Veteran Home
Deer Tracks Junction-NEW in 2024! This popular adventure park in Cedar Springs has added a drive-thru light show! Tons of cool lights and displays as you drive through their grounds! It’s $40/car and is open from 5:30pm-10:00pm through January 5.
Crane Orchards Light Show-Brand New in 2023! Crane Orchards has added a drive-thru light show for the Christmas season! All the display items are handmade with wood or metal! Cost is $20-$25/car depending on the seating capacity of your vehicle. Showtimes are Wednesdays-Sundays. You can find more information about times and events on their Facebook page.
West Michigan Downtown Areas (Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Holland, Zeeland, and Allendale)-All of these areas have thousands of lights on display. You can drive through or just take a walk downtown under the lights. You might even see some cool storefront displays! You can watch the video for some drive-by footage!
Coopersville-Maybe this should have been included in the downtown areas, but we thought it warranted its own as it is houses that are decorated and not the actual downtown area itself. Lots of cool light displays here that you can add into your West Michigan tour! Highlights include 94 W. Randall, 326 Lincoln St., and 574 Venna Place.
4063 Cambridge Dr.-Forest Lights-This display gets bigger and brighter every year! A synchronized light show with three houses that has come to be known as “Forest Lights.” Follow their Facebook page for updates!
5823 Sage River Ct in Wyoming-This display has grown from 5-9 houses of synchronized lights! Music varies by day when it is open! They even have a Facebook page you can check out.
6344 E Garfield Rd, Hesperia, MI-Head North about an hour from Grand Rapids and you can see the spectacular light display by the Deater Family! The shows run 45 minutes with a 15 minute break in between from 5pm-9pm! You can pull right up in the driveway and watch the whole thing! 276 E. Kenwood Rd, Twin Lake, MI-This huge walkthrough lights display is a great treat for young and old! There are tons of inflatables, arches, lights, and more! There are even special Santa and Grinch appearances! Free to see, but they do have a box set up for donations for veterans if you wish to give!
