West Michigan Holiday Parades

The Holiday season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than to bundle up, grab some hot cocoa and head out to experience one of the many local Holiday parades. From the twinkling lights and festive floats, to the sound of marching bands playing Christmas music, a Holiday parade is sure to be a hit among both the young and old in your family. Here in West Michigan we are fortunate to have several local communities that host wonderful Holiday events, so it’s time to grab your scarfs, mark your calendars, and get ready to enjoy the simple pleasures of the Christmas season.

Monday, December 2, 2024 at 6:15pmZeeland’s Magical Christmas Parade

Join the City of Zeeland for their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:15pm which takes place at Splash Pad Park on Elm St. The Holiday Parade will follow at 6:30pm beginning at the corner of Main Ave and Centennial St, the parade will proceed west down Main Ave to Elm St. where it will turn south on Elm St. to Central Ave. From there it will head east onto Central St. where it will finish at Central St. and Maple St. Santa himself will be the grand finale! Be sure to enjoy Zeeland’s social district both before and after the parade. Come see all that Zeeland has to offer!

Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 6:30pmDowntown Holland Parade of Lights

The Holland Parade of Lights will be a must see with over 80 floats, commercial vehicles, and marching bands all decked out in lights. The parade begins at the corner of 8th Street and Columbia Ave at 6:30pm. From there it will head west down 8th St. until it reaches the Hollan Civic Center Place at 150 West 8th St. If you are planning to head to Holland early for this event, please note that 8th St. will be closed beginning at 2pm on December 3. You can find free parking in the lots on 7th and 9th streets in the parking decks and at the Holland Civic Center.

Friday, December 6, 2024 from 4-8pm44th Annual Coopersville Christmas Parade of Lights and Open House

Join the town of Coopersville in sending Santa off to the North Pole! The parade begins at 6:30pm on Main St. West of Eastmanville. It will then head East down Main St. and end on the Coopersville Public Schools Campus. Prior to the parade, from 4-6 at the Coopersville Farm Museum you can find hot cocoa, children’s activities, and a beautiful Christmas tree display (rumor has it Santa will be there!) From the Farm Museum, head to the Main St. area to watch the street dancers perform before the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree in the Pocket Part at 6pm.

Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 6pmGrand Haven Jingle Bell Parade

Grand Haven’s Jingle Bell Parade will begin at 6pm starting on Franklin St., heading West to Harbor Dr, then North on Harbor to Washington, then East on Washington to Central Park where Santa and Mrs. Claus will be lighting the Christmas tree.
