Grand Rapids Happenings in June!
Summer is here and Grand Rapids is ready to embrace it! Let the season of festivals, outdoor music, ball games, and so many more outdoor activities ensue! There are some great events happening this month that will have you exploring new homes, new music, and different cultures! Check it out!
- Parade of Homes–This annual event features the best of the best homes from top builders in the area! We always enjoy seeing what is new and the coming trends in interior design and building. There are dozens of different builders and a wide range of price ranges too. Running from June 2-10, tickets are able to be purchased and used for the whole week. - Festival of the Arts-Head to Calder Plaza the weekend of June 2-4 for some great music, food, and fun! There’s everything from local school choirs, bands, dancing groups, and even comedy! With 5 stages there’s something for everyone! This festival has been going for over 50 years and is an experience with an emphasis on the arts and culture!
- Asian-Pacific Festival-Experience something different from June 9-11 at Calder Plaza! Michigan’s largest Asian-Pacific Festival happens right here in Grand Rapids! There is tons of tasty food, vendors, and entertainment!
The 2021 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give will draw the world’s best golfers to Grand Rapids once again with early commitments from top LPGA players, including defending champion Brooke Henderson.
- Meijer LPGA Classic-Whether you are a golf lover or not, this event is fun for the whole family! See 144 of the top LPGA golfers in one of Michigan’s two LPGA tournaments! Hosted at Blythefield Country Club from June 15-18, this tournament is a great event to enjoy all four days or just one day! There is even a 5k Saturday morning at Rockford High School. The tournament benefits Meijer’s Simply Give program which gives food to local food pantries.
