Best of West Michigan: Sangrias
Sangrias are pretty simple to make, get a good white or red wine and then add a whole bunch of fruits. You can find thousands of recipes all over the internet, but where can you find the best ones in West Michigan? Some of our team went around town to taste some of our favorites!
Village Baker, Spring Lake: Village Baker is one of the best restaurants in the Tri-Cities area! They have a variety of delicious food-everything from pizza to spätzle to amazing baked goods. Their drink menu is extensive as well with a variety of local drafts, wines, and cocktails, you’re bound to find something for everyone. Their sangria is a red sangria made with Leelanau Cellars Sangria wine, ice, and a variety of different fruits. A pitcher was $20, but would easily give four people 2 servings each. The restaurant itself just has a nice quiet atmosphere that is great for relaxing.
Stan’s Tacos, Standale and Grand Rapids: The exterior of this restaurant caught our eye, so we stopped in and found out they are majorly known for their margaritas and sangrias! You can get them in-house or to-go. The tacos were amazing and there are many different styles to pick from. If you are in the Grand Haven area and want some amazing authentic tacos or to just stop in for a drink I highly recommend it. I went in the winter but I’m picturing a fun day at the beach and then heading over for a taco and Margarita.
Carrabbas Italian Grill, Grandville: We chose to get our sangrias from our longtime favorite Carrabbas! Awesome food to munch on while enjoying a very refreshing sangria drink! Peach or red are the go to flavors. Stop in during happy hour between 4 and 630 to get a little extra pour for the same price! Cheers!
